Eleanor Kean PhD
Bio
Over the past 20 years I have had a varied career, spanning wildlife conservation NGOs, parliamentary advice, academia and engagement and evaluation. I now use my scientific training in communicating complex subjects, data analysis and evidence review to help organisations that don't have those skills in house.

Following several years working for wildlife charities in the UK and abroad, I returned to conduct postgraduate research. Having completed my PhD in ecology at Cardiff University, I went on to coordinate the public and policy engagement activities for the Otter Project, and NERC-DURESS ensuring the research impact was maximised and well documented. As a Research Associate at Cardiff University, I built relationships with other organisations, for example Greenpeace and Natural Resources Wales to complete environmental research. I also completed a Fellowship in the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. I have co-authored many research papers and reports as well as articles for non-specialist audiences.
